Saviah 5GC supports below network functions and interworking functions

Network functions

Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF):
Termination of Non-Access Stratum (NAS) signaling, NAS ciphering and integrity protection, registration management, connection management, mobility management, access authentication and authorization, and security context management.
Session Management Function (SMF):
Session management (session establishment, modification, and release), User Equipment (UE) IP address allocation and management, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) functions, termination of NAS signaling related to session management, DL data notification, and traffic steering configuration for UPF for proper traffic routing.
User plane Function (UPF):
Supporting packet routing and forwarding, packet inspection, and quality of service (QoS) handling; acts as an external PDU session point of interconnection to a data network (DN); and is an anchor point for intra- and inter-radio access technology (interRAT) mobility.
Authentication Server Function (AUSF):
It is used to facilitate the 5G security process.
Network Slice Selection Function (NSSF):
Selecting the network slice instances to serve the UE, determining the allowed Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (NSSAI), and determining the AMF set to be used to serve the UE.
Unified Data Management (UDM):
Generation of authentication and key agreement (AKA) credentials, user identification handling, access authorization, and subscription management.
Unified Data Repository (UDR):
A centralized data storage unit that consolidates data collected from various, often siloed, data resources.
Network Exposure Function (NEF):
Supporting exposure of capabilities and events, secure provision of information from external application to 3GPP network, and translation of internal/external information.
NF Repository Function (NRF):
Supporting the service discovery function while maintaining NEF profile and available NEF instances.
Policy Control Function (PCF):
Supporting unified policy framework, providing policy rules to CP functions and accessing subscription information for policy decisions in the UDR.
Location Management Function (LMF):
Supporting UE positioning by determining location using downlink measurements (or a location estimate) from the UE, and uplink measurements plus non-UE-associated assistance data from the NG-RAN.

Interworking functions

The Non-3GPP Interworking Function (N3IWF):
Enabling UE access to 5GC over untrusted non-3GPP access (e.g., Wi-Fi) by terminating IPsec tunnels and relaying NAS signaling to the AMF, providing secure connectivity and access interworking.
The Trusted WLAN Interworking Function (TWIF):
Enabling UEs to access the 5G Core via a trusted WLAN (non-3GPP) network. It provides interworking for control/user-plane connectivity and supports NAS signaling with the AMF through trusted access.
