The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, held in Barcelona from February 27 to March 2, attracted many Taiwanese vendors in the ICT industry. Major exhibitors such as Compal Electronics, Inc., Pegatron Corporation, and Alpha Networks Inc. at the Taiwan Pavilion showcased their private 5G  network solutions using Saviah 5G Core (Saviah 5GC) to explore global enterprise business opportunities. The 5G Core (5GC) network is the brain of a 5G mobile network, playing a crucial role in enabling innovative applications of 5G services, such as AI, 8K UHDV transmission, AR/VR, and C-V2X.

Saviah Technologies, Inc. is a spinoff company from the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). This team developed free5GC—the world’s first open-source 5G core (5GC) network that complies with 3GPP R15 standards.
