Marine recreation and smart port operations require reliable outdoor connectivity to support real-time monitoring, safety management, and intelligent services. As ports adopt AIoT applications, drones, sensors, and automated systems, high-speed and stable wireless connectivity becomes essential for improving operational efficiency and user experience.

Challenge

ARGO Yacht Club needed a reliable outdoor network to support smart port applications across the yacht terminal and surrounding port areas.

The network had to enable real-time yacht tracking, berth updates, security monitoring, and drone patrols while maintaining stable connectivity in an outdoor marine environment.

Solution

A private 5G network powered by Saviah 5GC was deployed at ARGO Yacht Club in Kaohsiung’s Asia New Bay Area.

Implemented by system integrator Transnet, the solution integrates Alpha Network’s 5G end-to-end system with Saviah 5GC. The project also represents Taiwan’s first private 5G use case featuring the deployment of 5G 5W outdoor RUs.

  The network enables real-time yacht tracking, berth vacancy updates, automated charging, intrusion detection, and other smart port services.
