As the solution integrator, Chunghwa Telecom designed a compact, plug-and-play private 5G solution to support emergency communications, field operations, and mobile applications in challenging environments. The solution provides reliable connectivity and wide-area coverage even when existing network infrastructure is disrupted.

Solution

Chunghwa Telecom selected Askey as its preferred partner for the Private 5G Network Backpack 3.0 solution.

This highly mobile system integrates Saviah 5GC, an Askey 5G base station, and application services into a backpack-sized unit. It includes a built-in 5G Sub-6GHz small cell, 5G baseband, radio, antenna, and satellite transmission support, enabling private 5G services in remote or infrastructure-limited environments. 

Compared to its predecessors, the Backpack 3.0 is significantly lighter, more compact, and more rugged, offering enhanced durability and performance in extreme environments.
