Transnet Teams Up with 1Finity and Saviah to Expand Private 5G Network Deployments in Japan and Southeast Asia
Taiwan Showcases Next-Generation 5G Innovations at Manufacturing World Osaka 2025
Led by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA) of Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, six leading Taiwanese ICT companies jointly formed the “5G TEAM TAIWAN” Pavilion at Manufacturing World Osaka 2025, the largest industrial trade show in Japan. This marks the delegation’s third consecutive year of participation.
This year’s showcase highlights fully integrated 5G infrastructure solutions — spanning radio units, RF systems, 5G core networks, and terminal devices — all benchmarked to international standards. The Pavilion further extends into next-generation AI-enabled automation, orchestration, and network management technologies, demonstrating Taiwan’s strong momentum in supporting Japan’s industrial digital transformation.
A key highlight is the integration of 5G and next-generation wireless technologies with AI-driven automated network control and operations. Among the exhibitors, Transnet Corporation announced a strategic collaboration with 1Finity, a subsidiary of Fujitsu. Under this partnership, Transnet delivers full system integration combining Taiwan-made RUs, the Saviah 5GC, and 1Finity’s vCU/DU architecture with ultra-high-speed all-optical transport — jointly targeting enterprise private 5G network deployments in Japan and Southeast Asia.
